Because I have lived this myself, I understand what it’s like to carry pain, trauma, and exhaustion in the body. As Dr. Bessel van der Kolk writes in The Body Keeps the Score, unprocessed stress and trauma live in our muscles, fascia, and nervous system. Dr. Gabor Maté adds that many people — especially women who put others first — experience the toll of this in autoimmune disease and chronic illness. And Peter Levine reminds us that trauma is not the event itself, but what becomes stuck inside us when the body isn’t given a chance to release.

These insights, combined with my continuing education and years of working with clients, shape the way I practice today.
